At The Hudstead, every goat milk product begins with the same source: the rich, creamy milk of our pasture-raised Nigerian Dwarf goats. Nigerian Dwarfs are prized for producing milk with one of the highest butterfat contents of any dairy breed — usually 6 to 10 percent. That extra cream is what makes our milk such a nourishing base for lotion and soap. Every bar and every jar starts with real milk from goats we know by name.
We don't sell the milk — all of it goes into what's below. But what goes into a bar of soap or a jar of lotion decides how it turns out, so here's where ours comes from.
Nigerian Dwarfs carry one of the highest butterfat contents of any dairy breed — usually 6 to 10 percent. That extra cream is what makes lotion feel rich instead of thin.

We write when there is something worth writing about — a litter on the ground, a new batch of soap. Pick what you want and that is all you get.
